Rare Toyota 22RTE Turbo Pickup Runs Great, good motor and transmission. A friend bought this truck for use as a daily driver, not realizing that the rust was pretty out of control. Although the truck runs and drives just fine, the frame has rusted to the point that it's really not worth fixing So now my friend is selling it cheap, to recover a little of his investment and to buy a different car with less rust... Fortunately for my friend, there's a very high demand for complete turbocharged Toyota pickups - this is because the motor and transmission are a direct drop-in fit for the popular Toyota 4-cylinder non-turbo pickups and 4Runners. Putting a turbocharged motor into one of these trucks is a great way to add some major zip to a normally slow truck. And while doing the swap isn't that hard for an experienced mechanic, it's very difficult to gather all the parts you need... Unless you find a complete turbocharged truck like this one, that already has everything you need for a turbo conversion... If I hadn't just rebuilt my own pickup's 22-RE motor, I'd buy it from him myself and use it as a donor vehicle for a motor swap - it's very difficult to find a complete Turbo pickup to use as a donor rig (and the few that are out there are very, very pricey) I could part it out, and make many times what it will sell for here on ebay - heck, just the turbo engine and the wiring harness would probably bring more than the complete truck - BUT, it's winter here in VT...and while I'd like to help my friend get as much out of the vehicle as he can, it's simply too cold out to be outside pulling parts off a truck It also has a very well-made pressure-treated wooden bed. Someone did a good job with this, it even has a bedliner and a tailgate! The good:
The bad:
The ugly:
The buyer is responsible for pickup of the vehicle. The truck runs, but can not be driven with the broken brake line - you'll need to pick it up with a car hauler or a tow truck. Price: $1700.00 Phone: 802-257-5241 Email: johnny@overcomeeverything.com |
